Why Bambino’s?

Bambinos Hair Salon is a specialised children's salon in Tonbridge, Kent. Designed to create a comforting, home-like environment without daunting mirrors, noisy hair dryers, or the funny smells you often find in adult hairdressers. Our goal is to make every child feel at ease, whether they’re toddlers or teenagers, and whether it’s their first haircut or they’ve been coming for years.

Sarah has extensive experience working with children, including those with Special Educational Needs. To ensure all children feel welcome and comfortable, she offers free "getting to know me" sessions for first-timers, making every visit a positive and inclusive experience.

A little about me…Sarah

I've been hairdressing since I was 15, and as I turn 60 next year, it's been quite the journey. While I've always dreamt of owning my own salon, I spent years working in the care industry, both as a hairdresser and a carer. I've also been a teaching assistant for an autistic child and have personal experience with special needs through my own children and grandchildren.

For the past 2.5 years, I've specialised in children's hairdressing, focusing on children and young adults with autism or special needs. I'm known for my patience and calming presence, helping children feel comfortable and even enjoy their haircuts. My techniques often involve play and distraction, making the process seamless and enjoyable for both kids and their parents. I've turned many difficult first visits into happy returns, with children even treating me like family.

Living in Tonbridge since I was 3, opening my own salon here feels like a dream come true.
